Erin England’s passion for dancing was sparked at a young age taking class at the Pacific Northwest Ballet School. When her father was re-stationed to Augusta, Georgia she continued her ballet education at Ron Jones Academy of Ballet (now Augusta Ballet) where she performed as a member of the company until graduation. She completed her senior year performing the soloist role as Dew Drop Fairy in The Nutcracker, and principal role as the White Witch in The Roar of Love.
Ms. England continued to pursue movement education at the collegiate level and around the world, including the University of Georgia, Kennesaw State University, and the Suzanne Dellal Centre in Tel Aviv, Israel. As a performer in the marching arts, Ms. England sought a variety of experiences including: The Study in 2004, Ad Astra per Aspera in 2005, Phantom Regiment Winter Guard in 2007, Pride of Cincinnati in 2008, and Northeast Independent in 2010. She began marching drum corps in 2004, completing four seasons with Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. Her collegiate performances included four football seasons at The University of Georgia and a two-week China tour with the Redcoat Band.
Inspired to teach movement to all, Ms. England has focused on bringing dance to marching arts programs around the country for the past 20 years including; MillCreek High School, McEachern High School, Brookwood High School, Desert Vista High School, Kell High School, East Coweta High School, Paramount Winterguard, Georgia State University, Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps and many others.
Her drum corps teaching experience began in 2008 with the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. After a hiatus from the drum corps activity, Erin returned as the movement instructor for the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps from 2013 through 2016. She returned to Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2017 and 2018 seasons as a movement instructor and served as the Caption Manager in 2019.
At a collegiate level, Erin began working with the Georgia State University Colorguard and Winterguard programs in the fall of 2013 and was promoted to Artistic Director, where she served from 2016-2021. She was ecstatic for the program’s success as Independent Class IA Champions in 2014, their performance at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade in 2015, their top 5 Independent Class IA finish in 2018 and their Independent Open Class finalist finish in 2019.
Currently, Ms. England resides in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and teaches the adult and children’s divisions at Druid City School of Ballet. Outside of the studio, Ms. England can be found cheering on the University of Alabama sports teams at various band performances and athletic events.
